A little bit about me...
My name is Kaitlyn (Chiodo) Jones. I would describe myself as a true romantic, someone who strives to live in the moment and values the “in-betweens”. I’m married to my best friend and number one supporter, Cody, who I couldn’t be more grateful for and a mama to the sweetest boy, Jace, as of November 2022!
Life on its own is an adventure in itself, but to be able to share good days, bad days, milestones and life with one person… that’s worth living for.
I remember the first time I ever picked up a camera - one of those cheap disposable plastic ones that were all the rave in the early 2000’s. I remember taking photos of little details around our house, our 5 dogs and 4 cats napping (my mom was a fan of animals lol), or close-ups of the random “flowers” (weeds lol) in our yard. I was obsessed with the idea that I could hold onto a moment in time. My mom was so supportive of my little hobby, and I remember her looking through the little pile of photos (printed at Walmart or CVS/Walgreens), telling me that I had an “eye” for the details.
Little did I know how much those early childhood snapshots would become an irreplaceable part of my adult life. In high school, my interest in photography quickly blossomed into something more, after taking a photography class as an elective. My teacher - like my mom - would always tell me how I “had an eye for composition”, and encouraged me to pursue it as more than just a hobby.
I didn’t originally start off with weddings and couples, it took a few years to realize that that’s where my heart really was… I started by asking friends to let me take photos of them any time I had the chance! I did some branding content for the local coffee shop I worked at during college (shout out to Blend Coffee bar!), and then ventured into shooting weddings and engagements for close friends. It was during those last few sessions that I realized that I wanted to capture those storytelling in-between moments of the people around me.
Which brings me to today. I am passionate about what I create, but more importantly, each and every one of my clients. I know how important it is for you to find a photographer with the same energy as you. A photographer that emotes honestly, truth, and emotional connection in their work. I’m invested in each and every one of you, and my ultimate goal is to create images that tell a story, the ones that are saturated with authentic, intimate memories that will live on, many years after the photo is taken. YOUR story.
XOXO,
